About Mississippi Ride Help

Mississippi Roots.
A Heart for Helping.

Helping our Mississippi neighbors find clear information, understand their transportation options, and take the next step.

It starts with home.

Mississippi is home. It’s where we grow up knowing our neighbors, where churches bring communities together, and where people often turn to someone they trust when they need a little help.

Mississippi Ride Help grew out of that same spirit of connection.

My name is Jacqueline Cartwright. I was raised in Sardis and now live in Hernando. I love Mississippi and its people, and I have a special heart for seniors and making everyday things a little easier for them.

Through my current at a large church in Southaven, I regularly meet people looking for help with transportation, food, caregiving, and other needs. I’ve seen how difficult it can be to know where to begin, even when organizations are doing good work nearby.

Who do I call? Does this service come to my community? Can it take me where I need to go? How far ahead do I need to ask?

Sometimes the hardest part is finding clear answers. Those everyday questions inspired Mississippi Ride Help.

Making the Next Step Easier

We’re developing a resource that helps Mississippi residents, families, and caregivers find transportation information and understand how to use it. Our goal is to bring service details, practical guidance, and helpful contacts together in a way that feels welcoming and easy to follow.

We also want to support the people helping others get where they need to go. That includes transportation providers, clinic staff, churches, employers, and community organizations. By making useful information and shared resources easier to find, we hope to make their work a little easier, too.

Reaching People Where They Are

Our heart is especially with seniors and residents in rural communities, where finding information and making connections can take extra effort.

We hope to reach people through local churches, social media, and community organizations—places where relationships already exist and people feel comfortable asking for help. Clear online information and simple printable guides can help those connections go further.

Growing With Mississippi

This work builds on the same care for older adults that inspired Anchored Souls, a platform offering senior engagement activities and helpful resources.

Mississippi Ride Help is still being developed. We welcome conversations with transportation providers, community partners, and potential sponsors who share our desire to make information more accessible across our state.

Our purpose is simple: help our Mississippi neighbors understand their options and feel more confident taking the next step.
